The Seal Pup pod were the third sea savers group to set up, and they are mentored by Consultant and Otter Ambassador, Poppy. They hit the ground running with a litter pick and were so shocked by how many crisp packets they found that they immediately set up a collection point for them at USS HQ so they could be gathered in and sent for recycling. They knew there was an extra need for this, as the collection point at Ullapool Primary School was shut down due to Covid and and never re-opened.)

They are currently working on an exciting new campaign to teach people what can and can't go into their household recycling.

They are also hard at work learning all about the species they have chosen to represent and writing factfiles, as well as doing a series of in-depth sessions with marine scientist Ailsa McLellan about marine mini-beasts.
