Brilliant evening at The Scottish Parliament, thanks to Scottish Wildlife Trust and Ariane Burgess MSP - Scottish Greens’ Amplifying Community Voices event.

Lovely wee session today with Abbie telling the rest of the group about the Surfers Against Sewage #PlasticFreeAwards and everyone getting a chance to admire the trophy in real life!! 🏆☀️

Aoife came across a very cool bobtail squid (Rossia macrosoma - thanks, Chris Rickard!) in the survey creels. Bone white when we first saw it, it tinted toward the colour of her gloves as we took pics and turned bright red on release. Amazing creature!

We have finally climbed down from cloud nine just long enough to let you all know that the Ullapool Sea Savers won the Youth Activist Award 2023 at last night's Surfers Against Sewage #PlasticFreeAwards !!!

Another lovely session in the sun, sorting and bagging yet more coffee pods for dispatch to Podback for recycling! Still way more coming in than we have bags for, but we just keep doing what we can…. ♻️
