Amazing online meeting between Sea Savers & the Eco Emerald kids from All Saints Primary School in Liverpool..
Well done to our otter Ambassador Poppy for making the top 10 finalists of Marine Conservation Society #OceanOptimist awards. Your work inviting Kate Forbes MSP to become otter #SpeciesChampion
Thanks so much to those who have donated previously - especially some very generous people following our part on the Prince William show and Autumnwatch
We had a team meeting so showed the gang the copy of “Beachcombing and the Strandline” by Steve Trewhella and Julie Hatcher and that Steve sent us - a signed copy too! We even found a skate egg that matches the cover! (Spotted or Cuckoo Ray?)
What a beautiful day! Porpoise ambassador Hamish and his dad made the most of it out and about on the paddle boards.
We were about to launch a fundraiser to help raise the costs of two otter crossing signs to be put up at the north road out of Ullapool where a number of otter have been killed. Poppy and the other Sea Savers have been in touch with Highland council and got permission for this to go-ahead but to get legal specs is dear and we need permits to work, etc. It comes out at over £700 even with a local businessman offering to do the foundation work cheap.
