We took a different approach from usual this time, taking advantage of excellent wind and tide conditions to haul the carefully gathered marine rubbish out by boat with support from some strong young emergency services personnel visiting ullpool on their time off.
70kg of ropes, fishboxes, buoys and other rubbish were then safely disposed of at Ullapool Harbour - massive thanks also to the guys at the harbour for helping us to lift the waste out the boat, weigh it and get it into the Fishing For Litter skip!
It’s a big job, but so worth it - and the beach clean station is an especially effective way of making it possible for everyone to get involved with cleaning our seas.
