We had an incredible day yesterday! A real treat to get a visit to the Green Hive workshop to learn about the amazing work they are doing there recycling plastics.

We took samples of some of the waste we are bringing in from our own beach cleans to see what could be recycled (and learned why some can't) and went through tons of examples of the sort of products it is possible to fabricate using their fantastic equipment.

Then we took a break for lunch on the beach before heading back to do some practical work of our own, including making a wee plate incorporating a piece of off cut netting from our own creels at home! Thank you SO Much to the team at Green Hive for making this such a fun and informative day and to Sea-Changers Scottish Learning Fund for making it all possible.

Can't wait to get thinking and designing (and beach cleaning!) to develop all the ideas and inspiration for new ways to deal with the massive plastic disposal issue we all face.
