Hidden gem on the A835, Tarvies Café, has been praised for “going the extra mile” by reducing waste and recycling. Award-winning local environmental activism group, the Ullapool Sea Savers, have commended the cafe for their “proactive steps taken” to make sure their waste is properly recycled and reused wherever possible. Five places to enjoy eats after a walk Sea Savers clean up whopping amount of marine litter on Summer Isles Tarvies has ensured their recycling is uncontaminated by multiple bins for: general waste, takeaway boxes, lids and bottles, cans, cups and cardboard. They have even used their coffee grounds to as a fertiliser for their flower boxes.
