A wee picture-story of one of the most satisfying uplifts we've done this year...

Blog 30 July 2025
While we were doing the creels we'd spotted 56kg of discarded netting, washed up across the loch from Ullapool. When the wind and tide was right, Cailean, Thomas, Sophie and Kirsty headed over with Noel in Mada Chuain to haul it in.

We are really lucky to have the scales and skip at Ullapool Harbour Trust to weigh and dispose of all the stuff we bring in - but it is always better if we can get things re-used rather than landfilled, so we were delighted to be able to give this net to Thomas' dad and grandpa for use on their boat!
