About the Campaign
The Drain Campaign is all about encouraging people to make a connection between land-based litter and the marine pollution issues that have been getting so much attention recently. Using biodegradable chalk based paint, we use stencils to write the words: 'The sea starts here, please don't litter' beside drains around the village. It's been really well-received, with many groups and individuals getting in touch to say they intend to do the same in their own communities.

Cigarette butts are a massive problem, the Drain Campaign is now working in partnership with Megan (another local young person with a passion for protecting our natural world) of the #noifsnobutts campaign to raise awareness of the harm they do when disposed of irresponsibly.

The Ballot Bin
They gave her a Ballot Bin and supported her handing out pocket ashtrays - a really good example of the sea savers collaborating with other groups to promote positive solutions to problems that can seem quite overwhelming at first glance.
