Great to catch up with Rich Lilley from Project Seagrass in Ullapool today and show him the Seagrass banner we put up in Ullapool Tesco car park as part of our efforts to highlight the importance of Seagrass to the marine eco-system. Seagrass provides habitat and nursery grounds for many commercial and other marine life as well as dealing with carbon more effectively than rain forests but is sadly in decline. There are some great projects working to restore and conserve seagrass and possibly some projects for the Sea Savers to help on down the line... Last time Rich saw the banner was our unveiling at The Scottish Parliament earlier this year with Gail Ross MSP, the Species Champion for the species. If you're in Ullapool be sure to check it out.
