What. A. Day!

MASSIVE thanks to the incredible team at Hebridean Whale and Dolphin Trust for hosting a truly unforgettable day of experiences for the Blue Starfish pod!!

Really, really inspirational stuff - SO much learning and a fantastic opportunity to share our groups’ experiences, ambitions and ideas.
Very grateful to Sea-Changers for making this knowledge exchange trip possible. Can’t wait to see what our flapper skate, kelp and orca ambassadors do next!
Thanks also to the lovely people at www.mullselfcatering.co.uk
for providing us with such lovely, beautifully located accommodation!

We lifted a creel and saw crabs

Whilst the team are away at Hebridean Whale and Dolphin Trust, nice weather at home gave us the opportunity to pop out with Sea Saver Alanna and show her dad and sister what we do. We lifted a creel and saw crabs, a small lobster, a wrasse and a beautiful squat lobster. Alanna showed them how she is learning to drive the boat and even helped give her wee sister an introduction to how to be a skipper like their grandfather was. Maybe even better than he was! 😄

We've had a series of sessions over the past two days going through the some of different types of marine waste we regularly bring in - thinking about where it originates, what can and can't put back into use and what could potentially be sent over to Green Hive for recycling....

Exciting times! What should we make...?

This week's super low tides have been great for guddling about on the shore!

This week's super low tides have been great for guddling about on the shore! So much amazing life to be found in the inter-tidal zone...
Here's some pics of what sea saver Thomas and his brother found yesterday when they went for a wee look about.
It is very low again at 3.30 today.
