A really special accessible boat trip Tuesday morning with Madeleine, Izzy and dolphin in the loch!! 🐬👌💙 Thanks to Carl Mackay for sending us an alert first thing of two wee pods of common dolphin headed into the loch, meaning we could get folk out promptly to see them on what was a remarkably beautiful and still day....magical stuff made possible by the unique design of our lovely PionerMulti, Mada Chuain. 🐬👌💙 Thanks to everyone who put a token in the box at Tesco Ullapool supporting our accessible boat trips! And thanks to #NationalLotteryPlayers. We couldn't do this without that support.

First all-access trips of the year

Decent weather yesterday allowed us our first all-access trips of the year and we finally got Bill "The Bull" out for a trip round the loch. Visited some familiar site from his travels to and from Stornoway on the ferry and also chatted about his days working with Charlie Macdonald and supplying stores to the klondykers. A few other tales and saying best kept quiet.... Was a grand trip, made possible by those who voted for us at the Tesco Ullapool blue token vote that funds the fuel, so thanks to all who did. Also, far easier with the new pontoons at Ullapool Harbour Trust which means we can keep the boat in all winter and grab opportunities like yesterday and get out for a wee trip. If you or anyone you know would like to come out for a trip, get in touch. Weather permitting, we hope to do more throughout the year and want everyone to have the chance to enjoy the sea and loch as much as we do.

Another 110.8 kg of rubbish was brought in from the beach clean station at Dun Canna

Another 110.8 kg of rubbish was brought in from the beach clean station at Dun Canna and transferred for disposal. Thanks to all who continue to gather up rubbish out there, the tons cleared up over the last 6 years really have made a difference. Thanks to The Highland Council for disposing and Ledmore Estate for allowing access and loan of the buggy. Big thanks to Greg for giving a hand today too. 1st Spring clean for the beach = will try to get in through the summer to clear out more - any help appreciated.

Spring low tide and lovely calm seas made for perfect conditions to get out and about around the MPA uplifting gear

Spring low tide and lovely calm seas made for perfect conditions to get out and about around the MPA uplifting gear we've seen on previous runs lodged in the rocks below the tideline. Plenty other waste encountered along the line as well!

More highlights from a fantastic #marineforum2024!

Big thanks to everyone that contributed to making it such a fab day…
